He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
-Mark 16:15
Jesus spoke these words to his disciples as his last instructions before ascending into heaven. We continue to follow this directive today as well. Because of God’s great love for us, we can’t help but want to share this good news with all the people of the world. The Bible also instructs us to “act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly” (Micah 6:8). So we are called to not only speak the good news, but to extend justice, mercy and compassion. We do this by sponsoring individuals, partnering with several excellent organizations and with our Covenant denomination.
