Marriage is a blessing, though not easy. Jesus teaches very clearly that divorce was never God's plan and is only tolerated under certain circumstances because of sin caused by hard hearts. Debates about what exactly constitutes Biblical grounds for divorce are endless. The Good News is that Jesus gives very good guidelines and encouragement to be strong and courageous in marriage, and compassionate for those who have been hurt by divorce.
