After the fourth sign, the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000, Jesus pushes his disciples and the crowd toward a deeper understanding of hunger and thirst that challenges their understanding of who he is and if they will follow him. Jesus seems to have a secret menu and the crowds aren't sure they want to order from it.
